Tuesday, 28 July 2020 | Parvesh Sharma | Gurugram

More than 250 homebuyers from over 90 under construction project raised their grievances and sought resolution at justice meet chaired by Badshahpur MLA Rakesh Daultabad, along with senior officials,  from various authority including DTP, MCG, GMDA, HRERA, DHBVN, Police department and HSIIDC in Gurugram on Sunday.

Also, residents of posh housing societies of Gurugram facing issues such as high maintenance costs, bad quality of construction and lack of infrastructure had also voiced their complaints in front of the authority concerned.

“I had decided to bring all the stakeholders to a common platform in order to find step-wise solutions as a lot of builders are not providing services as per the agreement and homebuyers have been raising the issue at several platforms. I don't want the homebuyers to suffer any further. The problems will be fixed at the common platform,” Daultabad said.

“During the justice meet each matter was discussed in detail with the concerned officers from the respective departments and solutions were also offered by the officers,” he added .

Meanwhile, district town planner (DTP) RS Batth assured the homebuyers that strict action will be taken on all the complaints within 30 days including filing of FIRs against the defaulting builders. He also gave on the spot appointments to many aggrieved buyers.

Daultabad also announced formation of three Special Committees after consultation with DTP and HRERA officials for faster resolution of matters relating to projects CHD Developers Ltd and Ramprastha Group which comes under HSIIDC in Manesar Area.

The MLA further said that so far 250 homebuyers have raised their issues at a single platform and in future more are expected to come forward.

“The issues that homebuyers are raising include non-completion of projects, maintenance charge, lack of service by builders and high electricity charges,” Daultabad said.

Several homebuyers said that due to the coronavirus crisis, a lot of builders are facing financial crunch and are increasing maintenance and other development charges.

"In the city issues like incomplete projects, road, electricity, water and many others fall under multiple authorities, so it is difficult to get work done in Gurugram now with this meet multiple issues will be solved and heard on the spot,” said a homebuyer.
