Himachal Pradesh on Sunday reported a record 19 deaths as 627 fresh Covid-19 cases were detected in the State.
A high-level Central team has been deputed to Himachal Pradesh to support the State Government in Covid-19 response and management.
A day before the hill state had reported the highest ever 915 Covid cases and 18 persons, also the maximum till now, died of the virus in 24 hours.
“The death toll reached 528 while the total case tally stood at 34327 on Sunday,” stated Himachal’s evening health bulletin.In the last 24 hours, six fatalities were reported in Mandi, four in Kangra, three in Lahaul and Spiti, two in Solan and one each in Kinnaur, Chamba, Kullu and Shimla, the bulletin stated.The Central team deputy by the Union Government will visit the districts reporting a high number of COVID-19 cases and support the state efforts towards strengthening containment, surveillance, testing, infection prevention and control measures, and efficient clinical management of the positive cases.
