The Ranchi district administration has urged residents to submit ICMR Specimen Referral Form (SRF) for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV2) test. At the same time all labs and testing centres conducting Covid tests have been asked to accept ICMR Specimen Referral Form (SRF) mandatorily for the test.
The ICMR SRF id is personnel details of a patient consisting of his name, address, gender and other details. The SRF id also consists of a patient category such as symptomatic international traveller in the last 14 days, symptomatic contact of lab confirmed case, symptomatic Influenza Like Illness (ILI) patient in hospital/ MoHFW identified clusters and three other categories.
The SRF id also has patient medical information such as exposure history ( two weeks the onset of symptoms). Clinical symptoms such as Cough, Breathlessness, Sore throat, Chest pain and others are too part of SRF id details. Pre-existing medical conditions such as Chronic lung disease, Chronic renal disease, Heart disease, Chronic liver disease information too are filled in SRF form.
Ranchi deputy commissioner Chhavi Ranjan acting strictly on SRF id said, “If any test centres or labs refuse to give SRF form then the person should inform the district administration. “ The DC at the same time has asked all labs and test centres to fill SRF forms.
Meanwhile, in other development the DC Ranjan on Wednesday visited model Aaganwadi kendras at Namkum block. The DC on his visit to Aaganwadi Kendras also interacted with sewikas, Sahiya and other community workers. The DC on the occasion visited Horhap, Purnadih, Sariatola Aaganwadi Kendras.
The DC during his visit also asses NHRM guidelines on Village Health Nutrition Day and in this connection asked CDPO to have coordination. 40 Aaganwadi Kendras as per IOCL CRR fund are being developed as model Aaganwadi Kendras. The Ranchi district administration and IOCL in this connection have signed MoU.
Importance is being given to children coming in this Aaganwadi Kendras for their mental, physical and educational growth.
