Commandant of Border Security Force Training Centre and School in Meru, Ravi Gandhi, in a special talk with The Pioneer said that the training centre’s main motto was to provide quality training to every newly recruited jawans in the force.
“We are planning to invite top faculty under the faculty exchange programme,” he said.
Regarding the community development programme, he said that they were providing the basic amenities to the nearby villages. “We have also constructed the approaching roads to the villages,” said Gandhi.
He further said that the BSF training centre was also running special drives in the campus. “We are giving more and more emphasis on cleanliness and drinking water to the jawans and their families,” the IG added.
Gandhi further stated that the welfare programmes are running in the campus under BSF Wives welfare association.
He said that the centre was adhering to all central government guidelines of Covid-19. During the training the jawans use masks and maintain social distancing. He further said that the jawans who were in quarantine were provided online training.
Gandhi said that the centre is also running a 100 beds Covid hospital in the campus. “In this hospital we are providing treatment to civilians as well. The Jawans infected by Covid-19 virus have also been treated here and are now doing fine,” he signed off.
