Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is observing ‘Official Language Fortnight’ from September 14 to 30, 2020 in which various competitions and programmes are being organized. To promote Hindi amongst employees translation competition were organized by Mohammad Rehan and Seema Khatoliya.
In this competition, participants were given to translate English paragraphs in to Hindi. Officers / staff participated enthusiastically in the museum and demonstrated creative qualities in this competition.
On this occasion, Director P. K. Mishra said that if we do not get involved with translation, then our scope will be very limited whether it is technology, knowledge or science. You people would know that Guru Dev Rabindranath Tagore received the Nobel Prize for Literature due to his translation of Geetanjali.
Meanwhile, on Friday in the series of programs organized throughout the year to create awareness among the public and museum officials about the fundamental duties of citizens in the constitution, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya showcased the film ‘Samvidhan Part-03: Constitution contact language: Hindi or Hindustani’. This Film was based on Indian constitution making and this film was direct by Famous director and screenwriter Shyam Benegal.
