Intensifying its probe into the loot case at Indian Info Line Finance Ltd (IIFL), Nayasarak Branch here, police arrested a Security Guard working at the company on Saturday and forwarded him to court.
Harmohan Das from Jajpur district, who was arrested from his house, is one of the associates of prime accused Lala Amrut Sagar Ray. With this, the number of accused in the robbery case rose to 11.
Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh on Sunday said Das had conspired with others and gone to Choudwar along with other accused in his Ertiga car on November 16 to meet other accused at Baideswar Colony to chalk out the robbery plan. During a search at his house, police seized a Maruti Suzuki Swift and an Ertiga car, the DCP said.
Police have so far seized 10.3 kg of stolen gold ornaments, cash of Rs 7.36 lakh, three cars and three motorcycles from the 11 accused. The investigation into the robbery case is still on.
