CMPDI holds Medical, Blood Donation camps

Under the “Seva Saptaah Abhiyaan” on the occasion of the Birthday of the Prime Minister, a Medical  Checkup Camp was organised at Birsa High School, Hathia Gonda, Dam side, Kanke, Ranchi on September 17. Dr. Om Prakash & Dr. Shilpi Swaroop, Dy. Chief Medical Officer, CMPDI performed medical checkup of 201 residents of nearby areas and distributed free of cost Iron, Calcium, Cough Syrup, deworming medicines etc. Moreover, under social activities. Smt. Sunita Mehta, GM (P&A) and GM (HRD), Alok Kumar also distributed saplings for plantation and food packets to neady. A Blood Donation Camp was also organised in CMPDI Dispensary, Ranchi. Blood donation camp was inaugurated by Shekhar Saran, CMD, CMPDI. Additionally, social activities like plantation, distribution of food packets among poor and workers were performed by seven Regional Institutes and Drilling Camps in their common areas.

Jaiswal inaugurates home décor shop

Jharkhand Pradesh Professional Congress President Aditya Vikram Jiaswal on Thursday inaugurated RS Home Decor shop located opposite MS Dhone’s farmhouse on Ring Road, Ranchi. “Home decoration and interior designing twist the house in a new way and in today’s times everyone gets home decoration done to make their homes beautiful,” said Jaiswal. Ashutosh Singh, Yogesh Narayan, Jai Singh and others were present on the occasion.

RRD holds Swachhta Pakhwara

Swachhta Pakhwada is being celebrated in Ranchi Rail Division from September 16 to September 30. Under this, a cleanliness drive was conducted at all the main stations of the division on September 17. In the campaign, stations, areas connected to stations, tracks in station premises, drains located on all platforms of the station were cleaned and pesticide sprayed. Separate dustbins have been arranged for dumping waste at all the main stations of the mandal and it has been requested to use dustbin for passengers and railway users and to keep the station premises clean.

Tree plantation during Vishwakarma Puja

On the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja tree plantation was done on the premises of Vishwakarma Temple Sector4G and Sector12C at Bokaro steel city by the members of Vishwakarma Yuva Sangha where all the young members Anand Kumar, Bacha Babu, Umesh Sharma, Alok Kumar, Sanjay Sharma, Ashutosh Kumar, Rakesh Vishwakarma, Manoj Sharma, Anil Sharma, Nandkishore Vishwakarma, Saurabh Prakash, Rajiv, Rahul, Sumit, Sujeet and Others were present with social distancing compliances.

Cong terms Badal’s resignation an eyewash

Dhanbad district Congress president Brajendra Prasad  Singh has termed resignation of the union minister for food processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal from Union Cabinet on issue of the Agricultural related bills  as an eyewash as her party still is supporting the NDA government. Singh said the union government by the bills is trying to rob the farmers. The Congress opposed the bills and demands withdraw of the bills said Singh

BJP leaders plant sampling

The Bharatiya Janata Party leaders of the district on Friday planted saplings during the on-going week-long seva saptah (service week). BJP rural committee district president Gyan Ranjan Sinha said saplings were planted  in Tundi, Baliapir, Sindri and Nirsa locality of the district to mark the occasion that is being celebrated on the 70th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Seventy plants of different fruits were planted on this occasion, he said.

Couple stung by honeybees, dies

A couple died after being badly stung by a swarm of honey bees at Mahudand forest under Dandai police station of the district, on Thursday.  The couple Nandu Paswan, 57 and Mina Devi, 55 residents of Jarhi village were badly stung by a swarm of honey bees. The incident occurred on Thursday at around 2 pm when couple were collecting dry wood in the forest. The couple were taken to Garhwa hospital where doctors declared them dead on admission.  Along with these two, one Urmila Devi,  was picking wood at some distance, was also attacked by a swarm of bees, but she somehow reached her home after saving her life from there. Seeing her condition, the family was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Garhwa for treatment.

ICFAI celebrate Vishwakarma Puja

ICFAI University Jharkhand celebrated Vishwakarma Puja in its Daladali Campus wherein employees and some students of the University along with the Registrar, Prof. Arvind Kumar offered Puja to God Vishwakarma. On this occasion, Prof. O R S Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the University sent his good wishes and pray to  God Vishwakarma for skilling our students. While sitting on Puja, Registrar, Prof. Arvind Kumar prayed before God Vishwakarma for bestowing peace, prosperity, and skills to all the students of the University. Puja was performed in all enthusiasm and gracefully. At last, there was ‘Prasad Sevan’.

Mankind Pharma rewards Laungi Bhuiyan

Mankind Pharma has taken the initiative to recognize and salute the change makers of our society. As a part of the on-going initiative, the company has donated 1 Lakh Rupee to Laungi Bhuiyan who has single-handedly carved a 3-km long canal. Bhuiyan has been working on the canal for the past 30 years to ensure that the rainwater flowing down from nearby hills is directed towards the fields for irrigation purposes in his village, Kothilawa in Lahthua area of Gaya in Bihar. Commenting on the occasion Rajeev Juneja, CEO of Mankind Pharma said “I firmly believe that rather than cribbing about a problem, we should look for a solution and this is what Laungi Bhuiyan has done. His 30 year long struggle will benefit a larger number of people in that area, for generations to come. As a token of gratitude, we wanted to applaud and acknowledge his efforts. “

Walmart Foundation announces grants for farmers

Walmart Foundation has announced two new grants as part of a commitment made in September 2018 to invest US$25 million (approximately Rs. 180 crores) over five years in improving farmer livelihoods in India. The new funding, which totals $4.5 million, will allow non-profits Tanager and PRADAN to further scale their efforts to help farmers earn more from improved output and fair market access. Both grantees will focus on increasing opportunities for women farmers via farmer producer organisations (FPOs). Delhi-based non-profit Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN) will use its Walmart Foundation grant of $1.9 million to launch its Livelihood Enhancement through Market Access and Women Empowerment (LEAP) program in West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand in eastern India.
