A 45-year-old woman who had sustained burn injuries on April 2 succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at hospital on Tuesday; deceased got injured at her house at Arvalia village under Eintkhedi police station area.
According to the police, the deceased Suraj Bai sustained burn injuries at her house and was rushed to a nearby hospital and later she died on Tuesday.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries after she self-immolated herself.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
The reason of the fire could not be ascertained and would be investigated. The condition of the deceased deteriorated on Monday and she died late in the night on Tuesday.
During the investigation police found that the deceased was suffering from mental illness for the past four years and used to remain at house.
The husband of deceased Rajendra Nath was watching TV at around 10 in the night on April 2 when he found that his wife sustained burn injuries and rushed to her rescue. She was taken to hospital and the injured was later referred to Hamidia hospital where she died during the treatment.
Police said that the deceased died to burn injuries and would be investigated that she sustained injuries or she was set ablaze in the further investigation.
