Haryana extends validity of private security agency licences till Dec 2020

Chandigarh: In a major relief to operators of private security agencies, Controlling Authority of Haryana has extended the validity till December 31 of all licences issued under Haryana Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 which were expiring between April 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Navdeep Singh Virk, who is also the Controlling Authority of Haryana Private Security Agencies said, taking into consideration the present circumstances and the hardships faced by general public and private security agency operators, this step has been taken. Haryana Police have already granted licences to over 1050 private security agencies while more than 140 licenses have been renewed after the enactment of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act in the year 2006 in the country.
