2 pairs of passenger trains for Patna-Gaya

Two pairs of MEMU passenger trains are being started between Patna and Gaya from tomorrow October 18 till the next order. The trains include, 03211 Patna-Gaya Memu Special (It will open from Patna at 18.30 and will reach Gaya at 21.30.), 03212 Gaya-Patna Memu Special (It will open from Gaya at 08.30 and will reach Patna at 11.30.), 03353 Patna-Gaya Memu Special (It will open from Patna at 08.00 hours at 11.00 hours) and 03354 Gaya-Patna Memu Special (It will open from Gaya at 18.15 am and reach Patna at 21.15 hours.)

ECR holds virtual poets’ conference

All India Comedy Poets’ Conference was organized through video conferencing by Rajbhasha Department of East Central Railway, which was inaugurated by Lalit Chandra Trivedi, General Manager, East Central Railway. On this occasion, he mentioned the recent significant achievements. He said that we are also engaged in promoting the official language Hindi along with literature and culture so that a composite culture can be built in the country. On this occasion, he also recited a poem of his own which was well appreciated. Additional General Manager Ashok Kumar while referring to various programs organized during Official Language Fortnight said that the employees have shown great enthusiasm in promoting the official language. He read the famous lion of Nida Fazli. The poets’ conference organized under the chairmanship of lyricist Dr. Kunwar Bechain, poets made a shower of poems of comedy. Legendary poets recited poems one by one.

IIM Ranchi, ABVCLPG hold webinar

A webinar on National Education Policy 2020: Impact on Higher Education was organized by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre for Leadership, Policy and Governance (ABVCLPG), A Centre of Excellence of IIM Ranchi. Prof. Aditya Shankar Mishra, Co-Chair of the ABVCLPG welcomed the speakers. He also provided an introduction to the speakers and activities of the ABVCLPG. Prof.  Shailendra Singh, Director of IIM Ranchi highlighted that IIM Ranchi has achieved an NIRF ranking in management of 20th position. He mentioned that IIM Ranchi is further commencing an integrated program in the near future. The centre aspires to undertake research at national and international level in alignment with the objective of the state.

Mental Health Assessment Camp

A mental health assessment camp was organized at Nari Niketan in Kanke block on Saturday under the aegis of Nerve and Mind and Charitable Chamas. During this, a health assessment of dependent women was done in Nari Niketan. JPPC president Aditya Vikram Jaiswal was present on the occasion. Taking care of the dependents in Nari Niketan during the camp, they were also given proper counselling. On this occasion, Jaiswal said that Nerve & Maid and Charitable Chamas have been continuously benefiting people by organizing mental health assessment camps, which is quite a great supplement. He said that whatever plans of the Central and State Government are going on for this area, Nari Niketan should get it, if the fund is stopped due to any reason, then for this, the State government will meet and talk to the government.

Symposium on Education Policy organised at CUJ

One day e-Symposium on 'New Education Policy - 2020 and Teacher Education' was organized by the Department of Education, Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ). The program was inaugurated by CUJ Acting Vice Chancellor, RK Dey with his welcome address. In his welcome address, he expressed the possibility of the implementation of the new curriculum based on the New Education Policy, 2020 in the coming session. Highlighting the program, Chairman, Department of Education Vimal Kishore said that we need to understand more and more about the changes in the field of teacher education in the new education policy, 2020.

Live Mahishasur Mardini Performance

Keeping the spirit of Durga Puja high amid the pandemic, Hinoo Puja Committee (Bangla Mandap) has decided to host its every activity through online mode. The first such initiative was taken on Saturday with young members performing live Mahishashur Mardini on facebook following norms of physical distancing for 20 minutes. Committe's president PS Goswami informed that the puspanjali and cultural activities will also be carried out live from Shosti onwards.  

Leadership Day at PAS BOKARO

PAS Bokaro under the leadership of Dr. Karuna Prasad the Principal, the school continued its tradition of a grand investiture ceremony appointing a new Students’ Council for the year 2020-2021. While the interviews and selection process was done online – the actual ceremony with 10 students and their parents took place in the Chapel Hall of the school on Saturday. All norms and protocols of social distancing were strictly maintained. The Students’ Council members received their badge and their flags of honour by Principal Madam.  The School Captain, Kaneez Fatima led the oath of allegiance which was followed by the meaningful notes of the pre-recorded school song.

A liver unit team at Big Apollo Spectra Hospital, Patna led by Dr. Manish Bhaskar- Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr. Abhay Kumar-Senior Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon, Dr. Abhilasha Anand- General Surgeon, Dr. Madhukar Dayal- Radiologists successfully performed a complex and complicated lifesaving liver resection surgery on a 65-year-old female, giving her a new lease of life.
