Jaiswal meets RD Minister

JPPC president Aditya Vikram Jaiswal today met Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam and handed him over a letter from Jharkhand Skill Development Partner Association demanding to reopen the Jharkhand Skill Development Training Center. Jaiswal told the Minister that there are 300 skill development centers in Jharkhand. Jharkhand has 5000 employees directly in the centres and work is underway to get 20,000 trainers which are currently at a standstill. Alam listened seriously to the issue and said that the government is trying. The State government will do its work to take initiative in this area soon.

Rare surgery at MIOS

In another step towards making MIOS, Ranchi a center of excellence in Joint Replacement the Ortho team operated a patient with failed primary knee replacement, leading to severe damage to bones around knee with patient almost bed ridden. Revision Knee Replacement was done successfully with the patient ambulating very next day of surgery. Dr Ankur Saurabh thanked the Anaesthesia team, Physiotherapy team and admins for their valuable support.

SBI provides water tank, pump to blind school

On behalf of the Ranchi business office located under Ranchi zone, General Manager, State Bank of India (Jharkhand Network) Janmajay Mohanty provided MTP Agarwal, Principal of St. Michael's School for the Blind, Ranchi, a water tank, pump and a lightning conductor. The school has approximately 110 bright children with visual impairments. Many of them are national and international level players and singers. The board result of this school has been 100 per cent for the last 15 years. On the occasion Nand Kishore Singh, Deputy General Manager, Ranchi Zone, Sanjay Kumar, Regional Manager, Ranchi Business Office, Anil Kumar Pandey, Assistant General Manager (General Banking), along with many other officials and employees of the bank were present.

BKMU expands its branch at RMC

Bharatiya Karmachari Mazdoor Union has expanded its branch at Ranchi Municipal Corporation. For the post of president, Dayanand Gadav; Vice President, Subodh Kumar Rai and Devandan Kumar, General Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, Organisational Secretary Birbal Kumar, General Secretary Raju Oraon, Deputy General Secretary Mantu Ram, Treasurer Maya Shankar Mahto, Deputy Treasurer Prakash Mahuto, Media incharge Samud Ahmed have been selected. The organization includes scavengers, supervisors, sweepers, drivers, mechanics, and guards.

Police recover huge cache of arms in Dumka

Police have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Dumka's Dharampur area on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, Dumka district police had launched an operation at a Dharampur near Masalia in the district under the same police station and recovered a huge cache of ammunition and arms . A top police official said the arms and ammunition were kept hidden underground.The police team had recovered one rifle, large quantities of ammunition approx 24 pieces, Neo gel 100 kgs and other explosives from the area. Dumka Superintendent of Police Ambar Lakra informed that the police team recovered one rifle, 40 numbers of ammunition and 100 kg Neo gel and other explosives which were kept concealed near a field in the village.

BAU, KVK Chatra hold webinar

Birsa Agriculture University (BAU) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) on Thursday jointly organised a webinar on the occasion of Agriculture Education Day to appeal to students of local areas of Chatra District to join agriculture courses by saying that it is needed for the hour. Organizing webinars related to agricultural education following the instruction of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India by the KVK Chatra, Director Extension Education, BAU, Dr J. Oraon and Director Extension Education, Kashi Hindu University, Banaras Pawan Kumar Singh joined as Chief Guests. A total of 45 students participated in the said webinar.
