Palamu scribes spread Covid awareness

Palamu Patrakar Parishad in Daltonganj has set a rare example, the first of its kind here when it put up hoarding and flex board at two highly busiest street crossing in the town Daltonganj to raise awareness among the common people in fight against Covid 19. It asks people to be alert and maintain social distancing with masks on their face. The hoarding is patriotic in tone where it reads India will win. Earlier the Palamu Patrakar Parishad had given masks to the civil surgeon Palamu Dr John F Kennedy. Sources said common people are appreciating the campaign of this Patrakar Parishad at this time of pandemic

IWCZ achieves new milestones

The Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur Zest achieved several milestones under the leadership of Reema Adesara.  During this year’s installation ceremony of District Chairman, many achievements of different clubs were appreciated. Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur received appreciation and recognition for projects like Project Mamta Mission and Jeevika Center Mission, where the president Reema Adesara helped an orphanage with 19 kids throughout the year and has also promised to help in future. “Under her presidency we also helped special kids at JEEVIKA CENTER for which we received appreciation from the district,” said a member. The Award for Best Secretary was given to Nikita Mehta for her efforts. The Award for Best ISO was given to Neha Vasdev Shangari, for her enthusiasm.

SAIL develops corrosion resistant steel

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), in a major technological breakthrough, has developed the capability to produce Super Duplex Stainless Steel in SS 32205 grade at its Salem Steel Plant (SSP). Currently, SAIL is among the few Indian steelmakers which have developed this grade of steel. This grade of stainless steel is mainly imported so far. The Super Duplex Stainless Steel has superior corrosion resistance with higher strength and formability. Due to these characteristics, it can be effectively used in various applications in corrosion prone areas, mainly in chemical processing equipment (transport and storage, pressure vessels, tanks, piping and heat exhaust), oil & gas exploration (process equipment, pipes, tubing, marine & other high chloride environments), pulp & paper industries (digesters and bleaching equipment), food processing equipment and biofuel plants.

DRM holds talks with businessmen

Ranchi Divisional Railway Manager, Neeraj Ambastha, held detailed discussions through webinar with representatives of business establishments on Wednesday. Due to the transition and lockdown of Coronavirus, it is not possible to sit with businessmen sitting in one place, so to increase bulk and retail shipments and to do unloading smoothly. The discussion was held with businessmen, to know their problems and also to get their suggestions.

Covid awareness programme at BSL

An awareness programme was organized by the team of the Occupational Health Center in a series of programs called Corona Abhigyan for awareness on Covid-19 at Bokaro Steel Plant. In the programme, Dr. T. Pachal, S. S. Bhanu and  S. M. Thakur, led by Dr. Ravindra Kumar of Occupational Health Center, gave necessary information to the personnel to prevent the spread of Covid-19. AK Jha, Head of the Department of Traffic Department and other officers and employees attended the programme.

Rapid Success Programme

Vasshin Composites to empower farmers

Vasshin Composites, an environmental engineering firm has launched the ‘Kahani pine ki’ campaign. The pine tree is locally known as “Cheer ka Ped”. It is both a provider and destroyer for the Himalayan farmer as the wood is used for turpentine oil and firewood however its pine needles are highly flammable and come autumn season, when these needles shed from the trees and cover the forest bed, they do not allow anything to grow beneath them. Vasshin Composites pays these farmers to lift this material and then processes it in order to design and manufacture a stunning array of plastic identical tableware products including but not limited to mugs, bowls, food trays and laminations.

KOOKU app sees growth

Kooku App, a groundbreaking content provider in the Over-The-Top (OTT) industry, has seen a massive 30 lakh plus downloads within just six months of its launch.
