Das thanks PM for special package
Former CM Raghubar Das today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving Rs 20 lakh crore economic incentives for self-reliant India. “This is a historic step, which will provide relief to all sections of the society and start economic activity. The MSME will bring relief for all classes including home industry, cottage industry, middle class, farmers, carts, street vendors, laborers. Local products will get a boost. India will become self-sufficient, we will not have to depend on any other country,” he said.
Sahay flays MHA for unilateral decisions
During the meeting of CMs with the PM, the CM of West Bengal raised objections against the functioning of the Home Ministry. Subodh Kant Sahayi, Ex- Home Minister during the tumultuous nineties concurs with the CM of West Bengal. Minimum decorum should be maintained as confidentiality is of utmost importance in a sensitive Ministry like Home, he said. Sahay is of the opinion that the CM of Bengal raised a valid question of decisions being taken unilaterally without consultation with the state governments which goes against the spirit of the federal structure of the constitution. He condemned the Home Ministry for this irresponsible act.
Jaiswal performs Havan
Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, president of the Jharkhand Pradesh Professional Congress, performed a Havan at his residence to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country and the State. In the meantime he took care of social distancing "Survey Bhavantu Sukhin: Survey Santu Niramaya: Survey Bhadrani Pashyantu Maa Kashchid Dukh Bhagbhveet". After chanting, "May all be happy, all the corona be disease free, be witness to all the auspicious events and no one has to be a victim of sorrow." He prayed for the welfare and protection of the people and citizens. Jaiswal said that along with medicine, prayer is also needed for the wellbeing of our State. We always pray to God that everyone's life should be healthy and happy. May the surrounding environment be calm and attain divine power.
MEWA provides food to needy
‘MEWA’ an association of Employees Wives’ Association of SAIL’s Management Training Institute at Doranda, Ranchi organized distribution of monthly grocery to more than 250 extremely poor slum dwellers in different locations of Ranchi City yesterday, in association with Pratigya – the NGO involved in “Each 1 Feed 1” initiative supported by local district administration and citizens of Ranchi. The beneficiaries included families of daily wagers and earners mostly comprising labourers and street vendors who could not earn their regular livelihood in the aftermath of COVID-19 lockdown. Earlier too on May 08, 2020 MTI SAIL in association with Pratigya had organized ration relief to 45 slum families living around Shyamali Colony Doranda Ranchi.

They were explained the norms of Social Distancing & Personal Hygiene by the members# Mukesh Kumar, Ajay Pandey, Pranay Kumar, Gopalji Prasad, Abhay Singh, Shwetank Srivastav, Amit Kumar, Sandip Kumar, Yashwant Verma, Sajal Sahay, Pravin Nandan Sahay, Manoranjan Jaiswal.
BIT Faculty members contribute to PM CARES
The faculty and staff members of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, its Off campuses along with Faculty members of TEQIP Program and University Polytechnic have contributed to the PM- CARES COVID- 19 fund. All the members together have donated a sum of Rs 36,09,320 to the fund.
