Jamshedpur witnesses 61 deaths in one month

The city is slowly turning into a Corona hotspot with corona positive cases rising every passing day.

In the last 36 hours alone, six deaths took place taking the total of figures to 61 in the city.

While a total of 72 persons have died of the deadly virus at Tata Main Hospital and MGM Medical College and Hospital.

The total positive cases are about to touch the 2400 mark. The first death was reported on July 4 when two elderly persons, including an 88-year-old woman died in the Tata Main Hospital.  

East Singhbhum district civil surgeon Rajendra Jha confirmed that fresh cases of COVID deaths have been reported from the COVID-designated hospitals.

“The tentacle of Coronavirus is very much in the steel city and in the rural pockets of the East Singhbhum district. But it is for certain that if the people start to pay utmost attention in maintaining social distance, keeping one’s hand sanitised again and again and wearing a mask, the Coronavirus has to go soon,” said Jha.
