Jawan flees from quarantine centre

A Covid-19-positive BSF jawan allegedly fled from a temporary medical camp (TMC) in Nabarangpur district on Saturday.

According to reports, the jawan, hailing from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, tested positive for COVID-19 on June 24 and was shifted to a Covidhospital.

He recovered from the disease on June 30.

However, he was kept at the TMC after his recovery as a part of the precautionary measures. He allegedly escaped from the quarantine centre.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged by the BSF at the Nabarangpur Town police station and a search operation was on. .

Till last reports came in, the jawan was yet to be traced by police.
