JD(U) joins hands with  BJP for by-election

Sunday, 25 October 2020 | PNS | Ranchi

In the first ever press conference after notifications for by-election of Dumka and Bermo Assembly seats were announced senior leaders of the BJP and the JD (U) addressed a joint press conference announcing the NDA alliance will win both seats.

BJP’s Rajya MP and party president Deepak Prakash and JD (U) national general secretary Praveen Singh addressed the media at JD (U) office in the capital city where Singh announced unconditional support to the BJP candidates against the JMM and the Congress.

Singh said that the BJP and the JD (U) are the natural alliance partners and his party will join shoulder with the BJP to oppose the anti-people policies of the Hemant Soren led UPA government in  Jharkhand.

“This is a historic day for us as Bihar chief minister and JD (U) national president Nitish Kumar has extended support to the BJP in the by-election. Now people of Jharkhand are fed up with the 10-months misrule of the Hemant Soren led alliance government. Situation is quite terrible in Jharkhand. There is complete lawlessness. Chief Minister neither trusts judiciary nor constitutional institutions,” Prakash said.

Prakash poked fun at the chief minister he has announced to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with cabinet minister. “This demonstrates that the chief minister has lost his own confidence,” Prakash said.

The NDA expressed concern over law and order situation in Jharkhand and said that so far more than 1200 cases of rape and murder has taken place in Jharkhand.

Both leaders pointed out some of sensational rape cases in districts of Santhal Pargana including Dumka.

Prakash alleged immature decisions have brought economic anarchy in Jharkhand.

“Chief minister is blaming the centre for the mess at a time when his government has not been able to spend even 20 percent of the total budget in the last 10 months. Transfer and posting have become a business,” said Prakash.
