JMM blames Raghubar for teachers' agony

Friday, 25 September 2020 | PNS | Ranchi

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday said that the Jharkhandi candidates and their families have faced problems at present due to the irrational and wrong employment policy of the former Bharatiya Janata Party Government led by former Chief Minister Raghubar Das. People should take legal action against former Chief Minister because as the head of the then Council of Ministers, Das is fully responsible for this policy.

On the High Court's decision on employment policy, JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the Government had the right to make laws for tribal and indigenous people in special circumstances on the advice of TSC in the Government of India vs Rakesh Kumar case. But, the Raghubar Government did not implement it. The then Government used only Para 5 of Article 5, due to which this planning policy could not stand in the Court.

Targeting BJP legislative body leader Babulal Marandi, Bhattacharya said that it was for his vested interest that he sent six of his MLAs for the majority of the Raghubar Government. “The six JVM MLAs not only strengthened the Raghubar Government, but their own MLA Amar Bauri deceived the people of Jharkhand in the name of employment policy. The 1985 cut-off date and employment policy is completely irrational and unconstitutional,” he added.

Bhattacharya said that the employment policy issued by the Raghubar Government in July 2016 in the name of employment and teachers’ recruitment was a completely fraudulent document. “On the recommendation of the committee headed by the then Minister Amar Bauri, an employment policy was announced under Article 309 under Para 5 of Schedule 5 of the Constitution. Under this, 13 districts of the State were kept under notified area and 11 districts under un notified area,” he added.

The JMM leader said that the party had doubts about the manner, in which the Jharkhandi candidates were troubled by the High Court's decision on Monday. Due to the wrong policies of the Raghubar Government, thousands of candidates have lost their jobs however, this is not the first time, he added.

“At present the Raghubar Government is also responsible for the agitating Assistant Policemen. The Raghubar Government claimed to have given 75000 jobs in the last five years and it was included in the Guinness Book of Records. Employment fair was organized for this; agencies were invited on the expense of Government money.

At that time also JMM said that it is fraud and the Government is doing so to dupe people,” said Bhattacharya.

The party Spokesperson said that the then Government also misguided the Governor before doing so.” JMM has been saying from the beginning that the 1985 cut-off date in the local policy and the employment policy of the Raghubar Government is completely irrational and unconstitutional. This policy was introduced to cheat and fool people but the BJP, which has pat its back in the name of employment, only fools the people of the State,” he added.
