Job aspirants meet Badal to clear logjam in appointments

A delegation of agitating candidates, who had applied and appeared for jobs for different posts in the State Government met the High Level Committee constituted by the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC), Rameshwar Oraon at the State Congress headquarters on Wednesday.

Conveners of the committee Agriculture Minister, Badal, MLA Mamta Devi, MLA Rajesh Kachhap, JPCC Spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo, Rajesh Gupta and Aditya Vikram Jaiswal were present during the meeting.

Badal met with the candidates applied for eight different posts, including Panchayat Secretary, Teacher Eligibility Examination, Home Defense Corps Homeguard, Car Vehicle Driver, District Police, Excise Constable, Jharkhand Armed Police Force and others.

It is noteworthy that during the Durga Puja in October, 23 thousands of such candidates went on protest mode and the agaitation was ended by the High Level Committee on JPCC Chief, Rameshwar Oraon and Badal on telephone conversation.

After the meeting Badal said that thousands of candidates are agitating for their jobs, who are all residents of Jharkhand, whose age limit is also ending now, marriages of girls are also the social pressure.  “They don’t get justice from the previous government, which played with their future, we have worked to end their fast. I appealed to them that the coalition government is sensitive and we are taking initiative to end your problems. A high level committee will now fight for their justice; we are not making any new appointments. The previous government delayed their appointment for four years. We will call the Chief Secretary, Personnel Secretary, Advocate General, Education Secretary and talk to everyone on this matter, we will consult the Chief Minister on this issue. Badal the candidates that he will simplify the process of their appointment by coordinating with the government’s officials for their future and will also try to make it permanent. When we were in the opposition, we hit the road and made release the first merit list of many departments, as far as assurances are concerned, we do not need to give any kind of assurances, we are fully committed,” he added.
