An aged lady, Devaki Bhandari of Gauchar in Chamoli district has set an example by contributing all her savings amounting to Rs 10 lakh to the PM CARES fund. Appreciating this action, chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that in India people have read about the large-heartedness of Raja Bali and Danveer Karn in books but Devaki Bhandari had exemplified this by donating all her savings for efforts to tackle the situation resulting from the spread of COVID-19. “With a selfless attitude, the lone lady has considered the whole nation to be her family and set a glowing example for us.
She has inspired us all with this aspect of woman power,” said the CM while expressing his gratefulness to her.
