Youngsters who have passion for research and aspiring for jobs in growing media and market research fields can apply for M. Sc. (Media Research) and M. Phil. (Media Studies) being offered by Department of Communication Research of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal.
Conventional media sector has changed due to the arrival of digital technology and it has created a need for trained research professionals for media, advertising, social media monitoring agencies, marketing and market research agencies. The courses impart knowledge and training to students so that they can get the job as a professional researcher,' said department head Dr. Pavitra Shrivastava.
M. Sc. (Media Research), an innovative course, has been designed to cover all aspects of scientific research and to the tune of industry demand. Admissions will be given on 15 seats in the course on the basis of qualifying examination marks. M. Phil. (Media Studies) is an advanced course and prepares students for higher studies in media research and doctoral degree.
Admissions will be given on 20 seats in this course through entrance test to be held on the date announced by the university later. The course helps students to crack UGC-JRF and NET.
