Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) held its convocation ceremony on Friday wherein 16 officers of the Technical Entry Scheme (TES 33) course were conferred with Engineering Degree.
The officers were admitted to the fraternity of Engineers by the Chief Guest, Lt Gen Milind N Bhurke, VSM, Commandant, MCTE. The officers took the pledge to utilize their knowledge for the glory of the Army, for the progress of the country, and for the good of mankind.
In his address to the passing out officers, the General Officer complimented the graduating officers for their sustained hard work and performance during the course. He stressed upon the importance of critical role of communication and IT engineers in today’s era of net centric warfare and exhorted them to be a step ahead of anticipated challenges.
The Chief Guest also brought out the importance of leadership and urged the young leaders to be more courageous and responsible.
He exhorted the passing out officers to keep pace with the phenomenal changes in technology, especially in the field of Information andCommunication Technology and always strive for professional growth.

Lt Kulvinder Singh stood first in the overall order of merit and was awarded SO- in – C Gold medal and trophy. Lt Kulvinder was also awarded Commandant’s Silver Medal and trophy for Best Sportsman. Lt Devanshu Singh and Lt Kunwar Vikram Singh were awarded Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
