The Odisha Mo Parivar organised a blood donation camp at the Blood Bank of the MKCG Medical College Hospital here on Friday.
Parivar general secretary and local MLA Bikram Kumar Panda inaugurated the camp by donating blood. It was the second time Panda donated blood in the last three months. As many as 20 volunteers donated blood amid social distancing.
Among others, BJD leaders Sanjeet Panigrahi, Madan Dalai, Dhanajay Rao, Sanjay Jena and P Asha Rani were present.
Besides, the Sabuja Vahini, Anchalika Vikash Parishad and the Brahmapur Blood Bank jointly organised a blood donation camp titled "Asantu Gadhiba Rakta Sampark" for the 11th time. With 12 units collected from this camp, a total of 182 units of blood were collected from all 11 camps.
Sabuja Vahini president Shibaram Panigrahi, Blood Bank officer Dr Sashmita Behera, Susanta Kumar Panigrahi, Satyanarayan Das, Bishnu Prasad Dash coordinated the programme.
