Taking strong exception to the union government’s decision to get the residence provided to Priyanka Gandhi vacated, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Pritam Singh has termed the decision unfortunate and the one guided by political vendetta. Gandhi is residing in a government bungalow in Lodhi estate and she has been asked to leave the bungalow as she no longer enjoys the Special Protection Group (SPG) protection. In a statement Singh said that the Narendra Modi Government first withdrew SPG cover from Priyanka Gandhi and is now asking her to vacate her residence.
He said that the Government is trying to hide its failures to control Covid-19, tension at Indo- China border and rising prices by harassing the leaders of opposition parties.
Singh said that the country has not forgotten the sacrifices made by Rajiv Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
He said that perturbed by the uncomfortable questions asked by Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi the BJP government has resorted to personal attacks and vendetta politics.
