Cracking whip on the quarantine jumpers, Mohali District Administration has booked four persons who violated the home quarantine, and let off 26 others after “strict warning”.
“The District Administration is proceeding very hard against the people who are jumping quarantine and putting the lives of others at risk given the present situation in respect of the coronavirus pandemic,” said Mohali Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan on Thursday.
Giving details, Dayalan said that from the period ranging from June 22 till July 2 this year, the District Administration with the assistance of the Police authorities, has registered four FIRs under sections 188 dealing with disobeying order issued by a public servant lawfully empowered to do so, Section 269, 270 and 271 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) against those jumping quarantine.
