With sleuths of Special Task Force now looking for a Bharatiya Janata Party leader in Prayagraj in connection with the assistant teachers recruitment exam paper leak, more arrests have been made in connection with Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya scam

On Sunday, one more teacher working in Anamika Shukla’s name was arrested from Aligarh. Babli Yadav, a native of Rasoolabad in Kanpur Dehat, revealed that her relatives living in Mainpuri took Rs 3 lakh from her family to get her the job in Anamika’s name.

She also revealed that more of her relatives were working on same (Anamika’s) name in Sorao block of Prayagraj and Bewar block of Mainpuri.

Aligarh police said Babli would be taken on remand on Monday to interrogate her further in the matter.

Meanwhile in Gonda, sleuths of the Special Task Force (STF), besides starting probe against 28 aided colleges of the district in fake teachers case, issued summons to college manager who gave job on basis of forged documents in the name of Anamika Shukla. On Sunday, they also arrested a clerk identified as Swayamprakash Shukla in the matter.

Sources said that STF also served notice on a sitting MLA and a former legislator from the district to grill them in this regard. Notices were also served on former accounts officer, Raees Ahmed, and 61 others.

Meanwhile, after Anamika, two teachers were found to be working in Jaunpur and Azamgarh in the name of Gonda’s Priti Yadav.

Reports said that when the data was uploaded on Prerna Portal and Diksha App, it was found that two teachers were working in Priti’s name. The same Aadhaar number of both the teachers were found uploaded. On checking, the certificates were also found to be same.

One teacher is working in KGBV’s Muftiganj branch in Jaunpur as full time teacher while the other one is working in KGBV’s Pawai branch in Azamgarh on the post of warden. the Basic shiksha adhikari in Jaunpur also found that the real Priti, a native of Sikrera, was unemployed and only her documents were used to get the jobs.

In Azamgarh, the teacher working in Priti’s name also reached the school on June 9 but after learning about the inquiry she escaped.

Interestingly, after Gonda, now one more ‘Anamika Shukla’ surfaced in Pilibhit who produced her educational certificates and claimed that if the authorities wanted to check them they were free to do so.

Hailing from Rae Bareli, this Anamika Shukla is working in a primary school at Amriya block in Joshi Colony.

Meanwhile, sources confirmed that after the arrest of 11 aspirants, including two toppers in the assistant teachers examination, the STF, on the basis of the statement given by the accused, was looking for BJP leader Chandrama Singh Yadav to interrogate him. Yadav is also manager of Pancham Lal Higher Secondary School in Dhummanganj, Prayagraj. The kingpin, Dr KL Patel, during interrogation has revealed that papers were leaked from Yadav’s school.

The STF, however, refused to reveal any details. It may be mentioned that the STF also nabbed Yadav and his henchmen for TET paper leak in January this year. Yadav was released on bail a week back and now the STF is looking for him in the assistant teachers recruitment case.
