Narasingha opposes court cases transfer

Wednesday, 19 February 2020 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

Congress Legislature Party Leader Narasingha Mishra on Tuesday demanded in the State Assembly that Government withdraw its decision to transfer cases from the courts, which are not operational due to lawyers’ strike, to nearby courts.

“The Government has no power to transfer the cases from one court to other. Clients will face a lot of difficulties if their cases are transferred,” said Mishra during the Zero Hour.

Wanting to know if the Government has contacted clients before taking such a decision, Mishra demanded that the Law Minister make a statement in the House in this regard.

To this, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro asked the Law Minister to make a statement soon.
