Dr Sarangi welcomes SDMA decision
While appreciating the initiative taken by the State Government towards the formation of Disaster Management Authority, former Health Minister Dr. Dinesh Sarangi said that the initiative is certainly praiseworthy. In view of the COVID19 disaster the authority should have been formed four months back, but The government took the initiative late, he said thanking the Chief Minister, Departmental Minister and Secretary for the work. He recalled the days of his ministry and said that he had taken the initiative in this direction by staying in Gujarat. The Health Ministers of seven states had received training for this and he was also one of them. He said that the State Government should take advantage of their experience of Director General (DG-NDMA) SN Pradhan. Dr Sarangi has expressed hope that the authority will be embodied soon and that people can get relief from natural calamities during the rainy season.
BJP MLAs should vacate quarters: JPCC
Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Spokespersons Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta on Wednesday have urged the BJP leaders to vacate the Government house by following the norms and traditions. The JPCC Spokespersons have said that such a fascination of BJP leaders from Government accommodation is beyond comprehension. "After being evicted by the public, they should automatically vacate the Government house on moral grounds. All senior leaders like Honorable MLA Naveen Jaiswal, Viranchi Narayan, Randhir Kumar Singh, former MLA Gangotri Kujur should automatically vacate the house without delay so that new MLAs and Ministers can be allowed to enter the house," they added.
Maintenance work in fast pace at BSL
Various maintenance works are being done on a war footing by the Civil Maintenance Department of the Municipal Administration of BSL. In the same series Road repair work is going on between Sector 5 Golambar (Pattharkatta Chowk) to Sector 6 Golambar (Lal Bahadur Shastri Chowk) and the work of repairing the roads around the city center has started. Some other major roads will also be repaired. Soon the work of filling pot holes in the city center will also be started. Apart from this, preparations have also been made to repair the street roads of various sectors, in which the roads of five sectors will be repaired in the first phase. Apart from roads, the work of external and internal maintenance of the houses of various sectors of the city is also going on continuously. Keeping in mind the monsoon, the work of cleaning the drains of the city is also being done on a large scale, which also includes many large under-ground drains.
Online competition for students
Aiming to sensitise the students to follow a healthy lifestyle and make them aware of the issues affecting the environment, online competitions on ‘Fitness’, ‘Sports’ and ‘Biodiversity’ were organised at Delhi Public School, Bokaro. The online ‘Fitness and Sports’ events included yoga, basketball dribbling, football skills, drill exercises, rope skipping, and any other specific skill or talent-related to physical well-being while the 'Celebrate Biodiversity’ events included nurturing plants, poster making, slogan writing, PowerPoint Presentation, photo collage making, speech competition, article and poem writing, informed a school authority. Over a thousand students of the school enthusiastically participated in the online competitions.
