Amidst the lockdown due to serious outbreak of Coronavirus, the Centre for Labour Law, of National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal has launched the website www.mazdoormitra.info. The initiative is taken by the students of NLIU for the labourers of the State, who are facing terrible problems due to lockdown.

This is a unique initiative and the website provides all the official and non-government information related to the workers in times of crisis at one place. Helpline numbers issued by various state governments, information of relief centres, social organizations which are distributing ration and food to the people in trouble. Today, the whole world is fighting the COVID 19 pandemic. In India too, the lockdown is being going on for more than 40 days. Due to this lockdown, the migrant labourers are facing the most difficult times. Central and State Governments have started transporting the stranded migrant workers to their homes across the country.

To help these labourers, the CLL NLIU has come yp with thr initiative. Anyone can contact the helplines provided to help the labourers amd food packets or ration or any kind of help will be given to the labourers.

The contact details of Mahendra Soni Chairperson, CLL, NLIU Bhopal as well as the CLL team have been provided on the website, on which our dear migrant workers can report their problems, informed an NLIU student Anushree Chandra. Efforts will be made to provide all possible help to the people worst hit due to this calamity, she added.
