Officials want all pet shops registered’

The Chhattisgarh Animal Welfare Board has made it mandatory for pet shops and dog breeding centers in the state to register with it.

The Board officials on Thursday inspected pet shops in Raipur city and found that two aquarium shops (Aquarium House and Yash Fish Aquarium) had not been registered till date, a press release said on Friday.

The officials ordered the shop owners to register their shops with the Board.

They called for adequate firefighting measures in three shops: All Happy Paws, Whiscotch Pet Store and The Amazing Pet and Aquarium. 

The officials warned of action if the owners did not register their pet shops and dog breeding centers with the Board.

Chhattisgarh Animal Welfare Board Joint Director Dr M.P. Pasi was among    present during the inspection.
