On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, Jharkhand Milk Federation (JMF’s) ready to eat product Medha Kheer Mix was launched by Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cooperative Minister Badal, on Wednesday.
The Kheer Mix will be available at all milk booths and other shops of Medha Dairy in a pack of 120 grams and its consumer price has been fixed at Rs 30 per pack.
Appreciating Medha Dairy for launching the product Badal said that he is hoping that Medha Dairy would keep bringing new products to the market in future, so that the people of the State will continue to get nutritious products associated with dairy milk producers and they will also get livelihood.
The Agriculture Minister said that the credit of white revolution in the country goes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri; he is trying to fulfill Shashti’s dreams. He said that Jharkhand was formerly known only for its mineral wealth, but now Jharkhand is becoming self-sufficient in milk production and efforts are being made to fulfill the dream of development of the farmers and youth of the village by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
On this occasion, Managing Director of Jharkhand Dairy Federation, Sudhir Kumar Singh thanked the Minister and said that Medha thanked the producers associated with the dairy organization, whose tireless efforts have brought this new product to market.
“Medha Kheer Mix is a ready-to-eat product, which is very easy to make. After putting the entire contents of the packet in 400 mL of hot water, it has to mix well with a spoon for 1-2 minutes and can be served hot or cold as you wish. It can also be cooked with consumer milk and can also be served by adding dry fruits to it at your convenience. During the Corona period people of all classes are very alert, in this time nutritious food has become necessary from all perspectives. Working in this direction, the RND team of JMF has done a thorough test to prepare this product from a mixture of milk powder, semolina and sugar. It is a complete diet full of protein and its consumption will benefit the physical and mental development of children, while it is also very useful for the youth and the elderly,” said Singh.
On the occasion Medha Sanjivani Herbal Garden was also inaugurated in Hotwar premises by Badal. A total of 34 types of medicinal plants have been planted in this herbal garden such as: Tulsi, Giloy, Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Drumstick, Satavar, Khas, Lemon grass and others.
“The State of Jharkhand is a full of natural wealth and the above types of plants are available here in plenty. As it is known, during the Corona period, people of all classes are engaged in increasing their immunity, on this initiative, this herbal garden is moving on the message that we Indians should not forget our traditional heritage and plant medicinal plants in our home to get benefits,” said Badal.
