An online painting workshop is being held for the aspiring artists. The Warli Weekend Workshop is being organised for the art lovers.
Renowned artist Sanjay Sangle is teaching art like Warli to the students.
The workshop is open for aspiring artists till 45 years. It is to be noted that these paintings are basically based on the Vastu and traditions of its area.
Warli form of art focuses on the rituals and happiness of people. It shows the human activities from dawn till dusk. Warlis extremely rudimentary wall paintings use a very basic graphic vocabulary like a circle, a triangle and a square.
Their paintings were monosyllabic. The circle and triangle come from their observation of nature the circle representing the sun and the moon, the triangle derived from mountains and pointed trees.
Only the square seems to obey a different logic and seems to be a human invention, indicating a sacred enclosure or a piece of land.It depicts the beauty of nature, melodious chirping of birds and people taking the pleasure of it. Further it also focuses majorly on Lord Krishna and a different type of cloth is required to make a madhubani art.
The tribals live with their tradition and define it in their creativity and all the paintings have distinctive features. Gond on the other hand, portrays the scenes, birds, animals and human faces on dark and vibrant colours.
The paintings have brown or black base and white colour.
