Passengers from Delhi tested for Covid-19

Thursday, 26 November 2020 | PNS | Dehradun

In view of a new wave of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi and its bearing on Uttarakhand, the state administration has made the Covid-19 test compulsory for all those who are coming from Delhi.

On Wednesday the officials at all the entry points were asked to ensure that the occupants of every vehicle which is coming from Delhi should be tested at the border itself. The order created chaos and long queues of the vehicles were witnessed at all entry points. The administration has also decided to conduct Covid-19 test on every individual arriving from Delhi at Dehradun airport, Jolly Grant. It is worth mentioning here that Covid-19 test at the airport was stopped in October when the number of cases of the disease declined. The authorities are giving relaxation from the compulsory Covid-19 tests to the passengers who have Covid-19 negative test reports conducted in the last 96 hours with them.
