The Vigilance police on Wednesday raided the office and residences of 1987-batch IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak at several places in Odisha, Mumbai, Bihar and Rajasthan on charge of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income. Currently, Pathak is the State’s Additional PCCF ( Plan, Programme and Afforestation).Separate Vigilance teams conducted searches at five places in Bhubaneswar, seven in Mumbai and Pune of Maharashtra, at different places in Bihar and Udaipur in Rajasthan..
Vigilance sources said about 150 officers and staffs from different Vigilance Divisions and witnesses were mobilised for search operations.In Pune, Pathak’s farmhouse at 115, Hill Town area in Bhugaon and a flat at God’s Blessings Apartment in Koregaon Park were searched.
However, exact amount of the alleged huge disproportionate assets that the IFS officer has possessed was yet to be ascertained till the last reports came in.
