He warned that the discriminatory actions should be stopped otherwise the Congress party would hit the streets in protest. Singh said that the minimum wage in the MNREGA works should be increased to Rs 300 and at least 250 days of employment should be provided under the scheme. He said that the state government should revoke the decision to deduct one day’s salary every month of the state government employees as they are at the forefront of the war against the Covid-19 in the state.

The PCC President said that the sale of the public sector units to private players should be stopped as it has resulted in huge unemployment.

He said that drug abuse is increasing among the youth in the state but the state government is taking no steps to reduce the menace. Singh said that the state government should take immediate and concrete measures to address the issue. He added that the state government should waive off the bills of electricity and water and other taxes as a large number of people have lost their jobs during the lockdown period.

The heads of all front organisations unanimously passed all the six resolutions and assured that the frontal organisations would work shoulder to shoulder with the party leadership.
