Two more aides gunned down

The killing of Kanpur carnage mastermind Vikas Dubey aides continued on Thursday with two more of his cronies being gunned down in separate encounters in Kanpur and Etawah respectively.
In Panki area of Kanpur, Prabhat alias Kartikeya was shot dead when he tried to flee from police custody.
Praveen alias Bauwa Dubey was shot dead in an encounter in Etawah, the police said.
Prabhat was arrested by the Haryana and UP Police along with Shrawan and Ankur in Faridabad on Wednesday. They were produced at a Faridabad court and were being brought to Kanpur on a transit remand.
As the vehicle reached Bhauti area of Panki in Kanpur, it had a flat tyre. As the occupants disembarked, taking advantage of the situation, Prabhat allegedly snatched the pistol of a sub-inspector and tried to flee. As the cops chased him, he fired at the cops. In retaliatory firing, he was killed while two Special Task Force (STF) personnel were injured.
Meanwhile in Etawah, Praveen alias Bauwa Dubey, accused in Friday’s Kanpur ambush, was killed gunned own in an encounter on Thursday morning.
As per reports, four criminals fled after looting a Swift Dzire car from Mahewa (Bakewar) on Kanpur-Etawah highway. They were intercepted by the police on Kachora Road in  Civil Lines of Etawah around 3 am on Thursday. The miscreants fired at the police party and in the exchange of fire, one of them was injured while his three cohorts fled. The injured was taken to a hospital where he succumbed. He was later identified as Bauwa Dubey alias Praveen of Bikru (Chaubepur). A pistol, a double barrel gun and many live cartridges were recovered from him. Praveen carried a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for his arrest.
After last Friday’s carnage of police officers and personnel at Bikru village of Chaubeypur in Kanpur, the police have eliminated five of Vikas Dubey’s associates. Earlier, Amar Dubey was killed in Hamirpur on Wednesday, while Prem Prakash Pandey and Atul Dubey were gunned down in Kanpur on July 3.
