PM got donation from Chinese companies: Cong

Tuesday, 30 June 2020 | PNS | Dehradun

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being soft towards China and claimed that the many Chinese companies have donated huge sums in the PM Cares fund. Addressing media at the headquarters of Uttarakhand Congress, Singh said that Modi Government is consistently rejecting Chinese intrusions in Galwan valley, Pangong lake area, hot springs and Depsang plains and Prime Minister’s statement , ‘no one has entered into our territory and no Indian post is captured’ has given strength to the nefarious agenda of Chinese. He said that whenever Congress seeks reply from the Modi government on alleged Chinese intrusion at these four places, it loses its mental balance and tries to divert attention.

He said that the Congress party would continue to raise the issues in public interests. The PCC president said that everyone knows that PM Modi has always shown a soft attitude towards China and has travelled the country on four occasions when he was Chief Minister of Gujarat.

He is the only PM who has gone to China five times. The Congress leader said that the thing which is of concern is that the PM has accepted donations from Chinese companies for his PM cares fund. This fund appears like a personal fund of the PM. “No one knows about the constitution and mode of functioning of the PM cares fund and this fund is not audited. It does not come under RTI. If reports are to be believed, PM Modi received Rs 9,678 Crores on May 20 in this fund. It is shocking that on one hand the Chinese army is intruding our territory and on the other PM is accepting donations from Chinese,’’ he said. PCC President questioned that PM should answer- if he has received Rs 7 crore from the Chinese company Huawei which is associated with Chinese army?

The PCC president said that the PM should also tell about the donations he received from different Chinese companies.
