Ayodhya Nagar police has nabbed a vehicle lifter and recovered two two-wheelers and car worth Rs 5 lakh from his possession on Monday.
According to the police, acting on a tip-off, the a youth was detained who failed to provide details of motorbike and it was found to be owned by Nitesh Rajput.
The accused was identified as Akash Jathav alias Pawar who confessed stealing of a car and two motorbikes. In the initial investigation, police found that the accused was addicted to liquor and drugs and would steal vehicles for selling them to buy drugs and liquor.
The accused stole car from Ayodhya Nagar on September 12 this month.
The accused used to recce vehicles parked in deserted places for 2-3 days and later stole them using master keys.
Meanwhile Sukhisewania police have nabbed a miscreant who was involved in two burglaries and recovered valuables worth Rs 2 lakh from his possession on Monday.
Police said that acting on a tip off Arun alias King Lodhi was nabbed and recovered stolen goods from his possession. Arun confessed two burglaries in Sai Vihar Colony and Narmada Colony. Police have recovered two gold chains, two gold bangles, gold nose ring and silver jewelry worth Rs 2 lakh. The aides who helped the accused in stealing and disposing the valuables would be searched in the investigation, said police.The accused would confess more crimes in the further investigation and more recoveries are likely to be made later in the investigation.
