Taliaya police have nabbed a 22-year-old youth who molested minor girl at Bhoipura while the victim was on her way to home in the evening on Sunday. According to the police, the victim was on her way to home when the accused Chiman Batham obstructed her way and tried to molest her and assaulted her when she tried to oppose.
The victim raised an alarm after which locals rushed to her rescue. The accused escaped from the spot. The police have started investigation and registered case of molestation.
The accused used to tease and molest her whenever she would go out of house. After the complaint was lodged, the accused escaped from the spot and before leaving threatened her of life and went absconding.
Accused had tried to talk to the victim several times and would pass comments when she would go for any work.
Based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, police registered a case of molestation, threatening of life and POCSO Act and nabbed the accused.
