Awadhpuri police nabbed three fraudsters for fraudulently selling a piece of land (plot), using forged document and duped Rs29.85 lakh; land was sold using forged documents of real owner. Police said that the victim Pramod Priyadarshani lodged a complaint against three accused who fraudulently sold him plot.
The victim met Mahendra Pal Singh who introduced himself as property dealer. The accused offered him plot near Rajora Farms in Khajuri Kalan. Accused told the accused that the plot is owned by Vinod Chug but he has power of attorney regarding the plot and the deal was stuck at Rs 12.85 lakh which the victim provided to the accused.
Later the victim found that the same plot was sold to Prabhakar Singh at Rs 17 lakh. The police registered a case under sections 419, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC and nabbed Vinod Chug.
During the investigation Vinod failed to provide any detail regarding the deal and was annoyed over providing any documents to Mahendra Pal Singh as he was not aware of Mahendra.
It was found that some imposter met the victim posing as Vinod. Police searched for the accused based on the details and nabbed Mahendra, Imran Baig who met victim as Vinod Chug and Purushottam Sharma who helped in preparing forged documents by signing the documents. Based on the information three accused were nabbed by Awadhpuri police.
