Raipur has emerged as a hotspot of coronavirus infection as 46 of the 99 Covid-19 positive cases found across Chhattisgarh were detected in the state capital, officials said on Tuesday. Also, 84 persons were discharged in the state after their recovery.
As per official information, out of the total 99 positive cases, Raipur accounted for 46, Janjgir-Champa 19, Bilaspur 9, Kanker 7, Narayanpur 6, Raigarh 5, Baloda Bazar 3, Bijapur 2 and Rajnandgaon and Bemetara 1 case each.
Currently, there are 673 active Covid cases while 14 people have lost their lives due to the infection. So far, 3,415 people have been infected in Chhattisgarh out of which 2,728 have recovered, the officials said.
