Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated an array of facilities to Raipur residents on Tuesday.
He dedicated the Devendra Nagar Global Square, the Jawahar Bazar premises, City Kotwali Police station, the Collectorate garden and the Oxy-zone road upgradation work along with the Swami Vivekananda Sarovar (Budhatalab) based Musical Foundation.
The cost of all these projects is `33.25 crore.
Inspecting the changes made at Devendra Nagar road, mainly the Global Square and road-widening work, Baghel dedicated it to the public. He also handed over keys to 47 shop owners. Their shops were affected by road widening and new shops were built for them.
The Chief Minister dedicated the Jawahar Bazar parking-cum-commercial premises, in the heart of the capital. The historical market has been renovated by Raipur Smart City Ltd at a cost of `23.75 crore.
The main gate of the structure has been retained. The new format has three storeys with 147 shops. The second and third floors have commercial office outlets. The 67 shop owners have been retained by allocating shops in the new structure.
The third in the series was the dedication of upgradation work of Raipur Collectorate-based garden for `75 lakh and Smart Road of 220 metres built near Oxy-zone at a cost of `2.52 crore.
The lighting arrangements are solar based and have underground water discharge facilities. The garden has been provided 12x12 feet five bamboo huts for the common man. Each hut has a seating capacity of 10 people.
Cabinet Ministers and others were present at the events.
Similarly, the six-storey City Kotwali police station will have facilities for the police station staff, an investigation hall and a waiting room, a meeting room, documentation, an arms room, a store room, a computer room, a dining room, 50-bed facility each for men and women constables, a seminar hall and other facilities.
Baghel dedicated the musical fountain at the Swami Vivekananda Sarovar. The inaugural music was of state song ‘Apra Pairi ke Dhaar’, Jai Ho and ‘Shiv Tandav’.
