The Rayagada police under the leadership of SP Dr Saravana Vivek M launched a drive to check cyber crime in district. Cases were registered in two cybercrime cases. In one case, a victim was cheated of money on pretext of providing job through Naukri.com website.
In another case, the victim received a phone call from an unknown mobile number. The caller said he's an employee of Reliance Jio and asked for land for installation of Jio tower.
If Jio tower is installed , caller promised that victim would receive Rs 12,500 per month.
