Real Estate in shows signs of recovery in Indore

Saturday, 04 July 2020 | PNS | Indore

After the lockdown period, as the people are getting more relaxation in Indore district people have started sale and purchase of the houses and plots.  The district registrar office Indore earned the revenue of around 104 crore only in the month June 2020 interestingly which is same as the revenue generated in the month of June in 2019.

District registrar Indore Bal Krishna Mourya told The Pioneer that presently the registry of plots and houses is more than the registry of big pieces of land in acres.

There are 23 sub registrars in the four tehsils of Indore districts including Indore, Sanwer, Depalur and Mhow.

At all the registry offices the registries are going on as before. People also availed the advantage of 0.5 percent relaxation in the registry tax which was only for the June month.

Besides, in Indore district we also give home services to the people who are very old and sick and who are unable to come to the registry office due to their age or their sickness for which we charge very nominal rate.

The Indore district registry department earned the revenue of Rs 1173 crore in the previous financial year against the target of Rs 1480 crore. The target of the financial year 2020 -2021 is Rs 1320 crore and already 50 days the office was closed in April and may month.
