In view of the pandemic situation due to Covid-19, the State Government on Thursday decided to provide a 5-per cent rebate on advance payment of holding tax for the whole year of 2020-21.
In an order, the Housing and Urban Development Department stated that the rebate would be provided under Section 257 of the Odisha Municipality Act, 2003 on advance payment of the holding tax.
The order further stated that the rebate can be availed if the holding tax is paid on or before August 31, 2020.
