In a major relief to the city residents, the Chandigarh Administration on Friday decided to give relaxation in curfew restrictions imposed in the city on Monday midnight.
After reviewing the situation in the city on Friday, Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore decided to allow keeping essential shops including groceries, medicines and milk open from Saturday onwards and allow people to visit markets to buy them.
“The curfew is still in place and relaxation is given to the city residents. To provide accessibility of essential commodities, all shops with essential commodities like food grain, groceries, fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, meat and fish will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm daily till further orders,” said UT Adviser Manoj Parida.
