The Commissionerate police on Tuesday busted a ganja smuggling racket and arrested two persons in this connection in Bhubaneswar.
The police seized ganja worth Rs 4 lakh and arrested two persons, including an engineering student.
Sources said that after procuring ganja from Bhadrak district, the accused used to sell it to different people. Acting on a tipoff, the police conducted a raid on the rented house in Khandagiri area and seized the contraband.
Police said after easing in the lockdown restrictions there is a spurt in demand of narcotic items and they were keeping an eye on the peddlers.
