Retired Colonel and his family members were held captive and robbed of their car by four miscreants in the wee hours on Friday in Koh-e-Fiza area. A reward of Rs 20, 000 has been declared by police on providing the details of the accused.
Pawan Nagpal was held captive by miscreants at around 4 am in the morning when he went to morning walk and found that the security guard of building was tied to the chair and later they held him captive in his flat while his mother and wife were held captive in another room.
The miscreants escaped with the car of the victim which was later recovered from Bhainskhedi as the accused left car and escaped.
Victim claimed that the miscreants were armed and carrying country made pistol and sharp edged weapons. The victim was thrashed by the miscreants.
The police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Building has been rented to Hero Company and security guard of the company was at duty at the time of the incident. Police said that the CCTV footage of the cameras installed in the nearby areas would be searched. During the investigation police found that the armed assailants have not disturbed anything in the house which suggests that the miscreants have not attacked for robbery and attack was done due to enmity with the victim.
