Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahai today said, “A hoax or humbug, either way PM Modi has the dubious distinction of presiding over the destruction of economy, health of the people in the wake of unchecked spread of Covid-19 despite enforcing the ‘longest’ lockdown, damage to the social fabric, loss of credibility in border management with hostile neighbours, and unfathomable dismantling of the agricultural and industrial infrastructure of the country. And, it is so disturbing and saddening to see that all this is being further perpetrated with impunity that had befuddled the populace in the past. The sanguine age-old lesson of history that ‘all can't be fooled all the time’ is always forgotten by self-serving autocrats. Everyone now has an uncanny feeling that this uncontrolled spread of COVID signals the beginning of the end of this "hoax".
Sahay further stated. “It is important that we, in the epochal words of Pandit Nehru ji, defend people's interest with all our might and work for the end of this dark phase and aspire for the "new" dawn spiritedly, unitedly and above all truly.”
