Saturday, 11 July 2020 | PNS | SAMBALPUR

A 63-year-old businessman was allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint by three persons at Sasan in Sambalpur district on Friday evening.

Naresh Agrawal of Bareipali had gone to Sasan to take stock of the boundary construction work on a patch of land owned by him when three persons came there by a car around 12.20 pm and punctured the wheels of the businessman’s car.

Brandishing a gun, they took Agrawal with them in their car towards Jharsuguda.

Acting on a complaint lodged by the trader’s driver, police have registered a case and started searching for the kidnappers.

The abductors were wearing masks and communicating with each other in Hindi language, said some eyewitnesses.
