SBIKS varsity organises 2-day online lecture

A two-day online lecture was organized by the Sanskrit Department of Sanchi Buddhist-Indian Knowledge Studies University(SBIKS) that concluded on Tuesday.

 On the first day of the lecture organized on the topic “Gurukul Tradition: Exploring the Model Education System”. Vice Chancellor of Swamivivekananda Yoganusandhan University, Bengluru was present as the keynote speaker. Ramchandra Bhatt said that the first step of Gurukul education is matrilineal. 

The Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Veer Vikram University, Agartala, Tripura, present as the chief guest on this occasion. Satyadev Poddar presented the great tradition of Sanskrit literature to the audience. The programme was headed by Aditya Kumar Tripathi, Registrar of Sanchi University.

Tripathi in his address highlighted the utility of Sanskrit language in the creation of self-reliant India.

On Tuesday,  Dinesh Kamat, All India Sanskritan Mantri of Sanskrit Bharati, gave the keynote address on the topic of Sanskrit utility in the current perspective. In his lecture, Kamat gave detailed information about the online Sanskrit address classes being run by Sanskrit Bharati in India and abroad.

The Vice Chancellor of Himachal Central University, present as the Chief Guest in the lecture Kuldeep Agnihotri also emphasized the policy of teaching contemporary subjects in Sanskrit in schools and colleges.  Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Vice Chancellor of Sanchi University and Principal Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Water and Food, presented a detailed introduction to the Sanskrit knowledge tradition.

The director of the programme, Vishwa Bandhu, thanked the audience and briefed about the courses offered by Sanchi University to facilitate mutual communication in Sanskrit.

Vishwa Bandhu, Professor of Sanskrit Department of Sanchi Buddhist-Indian Knowledge Studies University, said that “Sanskrit Week” is organized by combining three days before Sanskrit Day and three days after Day. Both lectures can be viewed as recordings on the YouTube channel.
